Submission Deadline: August 1, 2016
atelierWG Foundation invites visual artists to submit proposals for a solo exhibition in combination with a series of events, to be presented at its project space puntWG in 2017.
atelierWG believes that artists have a unique sensibility and distinct vision for the making of exhibitions as well as reflecting another artists’ work. With this invitation atelierWG seeks to provide artists with the opportunity to benefit from its exhibition space and its central location in Amsterdam.
Artists are invited to present their work in a solo exhibition, or to show the work of another artist. There is a preference for proposals that combine exhibitions with additional events such as performances, screenings, lectures, artist talks, or dinners etc.
Each artist is offered four weeks to realize and present his or her project (including setting up and taking down). The artists will be selected on the basis of the experimental quality of their proposal and an innovative approach to the use of the exhibition space.
Funding and support
atelierWG Foundation will provide the space: puntWG, as well as publicity and support where necessary. The selected artists are responsible for production costs.
